The shock pads shown here are typically used for children’s playground flooring.
Our safety flooring can be applied as an underlay to any synthetic surface including rubber, tarmac, concrete or artificial grass. GardenGrass supplies high-end shock pads for artificial turf systems. Many school playgrounds and parks require safety features for the grounds on which children play; the HIC (head injury criterion) is one such safety requirement. Our high performance foam provides state-of-the-art children’s playground flooring for safety concious schools.
We supply 4 types of shock pads:
- Airlastic Comfort Foam in 8mm (XC 050 008)
- Airlastic High Comfort Foam in 12mm (XC 050 012)
- Safety Shock pad 40 mm
- Safety Shock pad 60 mm
Airlastic products are simple en fast installable products and remain due to the patented X-cut design during and after installation completely flat. Because of these cuts excellent drainage properties are guaranteed so it can be used for the replacement of natural turf in the garden but can also be installed on your (roof) terrace to soften the stone/concrete surface.
The foam provides a comfortable and natural cushioning. This will not only assure safety for you and your kids but also prevent the turf to flatten by everyday use. Because of the cushioning, shock absorbing function of the shock pad, the fiber is being supported to come up again and stay in its original upright position.
The product has a closed-cell structure in order to prevent it from absorbing water and to avoid a so-called sponge- effect.
GardenGrass Comfort and Natural Plus in combination with Safety Shock pad products has officially been tested and certified by TüV Netherlands for fall safety. The certified falling heights vary from …m to …m.

- Specification
- Rolls are generally supplied in 4m or 2m widths by a set length. Sheets are 0.9m x 2.25m.
- You can select any synthetic grass surface over your chosen shockpad.
- Shockpads can be installed on aggregate or hard bases.
